Sustainability showroom
Sustainability Showroom is a FRI Foundation project that provides Italian producers with practical tools to transition to eco-sustainability in fashion. The project promotes a new perspective that values the environment, workers and innovation.
It presents itself as a virtual and physical meeting place for supply and demand, where customers can experience resources first-hand and enjoy an overview of the offerings available on the market. It also aims to become a point of reference for businesses of all sizes, where they can find support and guidance in their green transition.
Materials Showroom for Sustainable Production
The heart of the project is an archive of sustainable textile materials, accessories, and packaging solutions for fashion, sourced from selected supplier catalogues nationwide.
An open-shelf showroom, inaugurated in December 2021, already displays over 120 mapped companies and 2,500 industrialised items ready for small- or large-scale sustainable manufacturing.

The Digital Catalogue
All samples have been digitised in ultra-high quality to give three-dimensionality and material details, allowing for convenient remote consultation as near as close as possible to an in-person evaluation.
Each sample is accompanied by a digital data sheet outlining its technical qualities and accompanying certificates, allowing for a search that is specific to the product being manufactured.

The Foundation
Fondazione Fashion Research Italy was established in 2015 in order to celebrate and promote the manufacturing expertise that distinguishes our Emilia-Romagna area and to become a point of reference for the entire fashion industry. F.FRI’s core business is the Textile Design Archive, which houses 30,000 paper and textile designs, a source of inspiration for all small and medium-sized businesses and designers in the sector.
