Why take this course?

To acquire advanced knowledge of sustainable planning and design, with a focus on fashion and Made in Italy. You will learn innovative strategies to enhance your product and meet market needs. Upon completion, you’ll be ready to support in developing the innovative processes that businesses need.

Recipients

You must fulfil the general requirements listed in the call for applications in order to be eligible to take part in the project, which are as follows:

  • University students (bachelor’s, master’s, or single-cycle degree programmes);
  • Students enrolled in first- or second-level courses at AFAM Institutes, particularly Fine Arts Academies;
  • Persons with a university degree: bachelor’s, master’s, or single-cycle degree, or first- or second-level academic diploma, earned no more than 36 months prior to the application date.

Pursuant to Regional Council Resolution No. 1298/2015, participants must be resident or domiciled in the Emilia-Romagna region prior to enrolling in the activities, with the sole exception of students enrolled at universities/AFAM institutes located in the region, for whom residency/domicile is not relevant.

This project is particularly suited to graduates/students from the humanities and arts, as it requires a strong communication aptitude, intellectual curiosity, and creativity that can be channeled into improving the digital experience for all.

Potential participants from other faculties are not excluded, however, if interested in developing their knowledge in this area.

The course will be activated once 12 students have enrolled.

Course programme and schedule

A total of 60 hours of in-person instruction, upon completion of which a certificate of participation will be issued to all those who have attended at least 70% of the total hours.

The course’s content and learning objectives are:

  • Historical outlines of Made in Italy
  • Relationship between fashion, Made in Italy and the arts
  • Metaproject, concept and fashion product design
  • Research and concept definition
  • Production and sustainability
  • Value creation through design
  • Distribution, phygital retail and visual merchandising for fashion
  • Communication for the fashion system: from traditional strategies to the digital ecosystem
  • Mood boards and graphic design of fashion products/collections
  • Concept presentations

Lectures will be held from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm and from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
